Site Area

Early Learning Centre & Habich Buildings

This project involved a new build of the Early Learning Centre (ELC) with an open communal area between two main classroom areas. It includes large window seats that overlook the large outdoor play area. The play area consists of a polycarbonate pergola leading up to a new timber deck, a new shade sail, children’s slide, stainless steel water play pump on exposed aggregate concrete, sand pit, digging pit and many landscaping elements, including climbing rocks, timber tepee, log seats, timber steppers and lawn areas for an environmentally-friendly playing space. A Corten laser-cut feature fence at the entrance of the ELC is another stand-out feature.

The project had its challenges including being in the centre of a functioning school as well as a client request mid-stream to incorporate the refurbishment and extension of two adjacent buildings, which were to be completed within the original project program.

The project was delivered to the original project timeframe and within budget, thanks to a brilliant collaborative approach between our Client, Architect, Subcontractors and the Pascale Project Team.
