Rezz Hotel

This project involved the construction of the new Rezz Hotel at Newton. Pascale were engaged on an ECI basis to have input in the final stages of design and to work closely with the consultant team in relation to the project budget. Initial cost estimates came in well over budget, so Pascale and Studio Nine Architects worked collaboratively to pull back the costs whilst still keeping the original design intent and achieve the clients desired outcome.

The construction faced its challenges, including significant inclement weather as footings were dug during winter. There were also many design changes that were made during the construction process which required quick thinking and problem solving to ensure all changes could be captured. This again was undertaken collaboratively with the Architect, Client and Pascale with all parties in constant communication and aware of all project related costs at all times.

The client was incredibly happy with the final outcome, and have commissioned Pascale Construction as their building partner on future additional Stages of works.

The construction of the project included some beautiful features, including curved brickwork, a circular rendered archway to the Promenade area, stone bench tops, high-end joinery and upholstery and delicate feature lighting that complemented the many different internal textures. Externally, there are several large paved areas for alfresco dining which are covered by timber verandahs and surrounded landscaped areas. The facility also includes a Beer Garden, a sophisticated Sports Bar and adjacent Gaming Room, including designer broadloom carpet, feature joinery and lighting.
