“… I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team from Pascale for your exceptional efforts in delivering this highly complex project with minimal delays and such a high quality of finish.” Lindsay Bowey, School Principal
Process
This project comprised a combination of new and refurbished buildings within the grounds of the Forbes Primary School. The new building provides a 45 place child care facility, a 45 place pre-school facility and the incorporation of Community and Health facilities. The project has become a prototype for the development of similar shared care facilities in other schools across the state.
The structural components comprised a raft slab, structural steel frame, lightweight and masonry external walls and metal deck roofing. The complex roof design required careful and close supervision and coordination with the follow-on trades. The design made best use of natural light and cross ventilation to optimise the energy efficiency features of the building.
The works involved integration within the existing school campus with refurbishment of existing facilities, siteworks and purpose built outside structures. Strict adherence to Pascale Construction’s Safety Management Plan and quality control procedures were paramount to the successful delivery of this exciting project.
